Ancestral Nights is a call back to our TAPROOT. Our shared origins.
It is an invitation to connect with our most ancient, loving ancestors,
to feel more wholly how to meet the collective moment.
It is a response to the myriad ways that we and our kin experience violence in a system and
worldview that does not serve the soul.
It is a radical invitation — not a prescription for the right way to be, but
a loving question mark that asks:
What medicine am I, in my lineage, in my dreaming,
being called to notice and embody as systems
of domination and control try to tighten their grip?
This three week container is a non-linear, experiential, and open-hearted space to commune with the old, old ancestors,
those who predate this empire, and whose wisdom will outlast it.
It is an intentional space to see what needs to be seen and feel what needs to be felt as you (and your lineage) meet this ever-strange time on Earth.

There is not one right way to face the hunger of modernity.
The invitation is to follow your own lineage, deep, deep back to the taproot and ask: how do we bring more of the original heartbeat of earth into our lives?
Ancient ancestors, those who love with clear, water-like hearts, what do you wish us to remember in service to greater love?
What pain needs soothing? What gift needs remembering? What embers want fanning? What tears need to run their river-like way back to eternity?
Ancient ancestors, those who love like the relentless music of jungly moonlit nights, what wisdom would you like us to know now?
Can you help us to grow good medicine for this epoch and era?
I have a strong dreamer in me. A sense that things don’t have to be as wrought and wrenched and divided as they are.
I have a strong believer in me. A strong sense that the earth’s good medicine will always prevail. The compassionate warrior in me says, oh, how the windsails and currents of modern life have lost track of living in honor of the soul!
Between surrender to “what is” and heartfelt devotion to what may be, there is such great love.
The primary inspiration for this online container is the awareness that we humans have not always been so deeply separate from the earth and one another.
We all have ancestors who knew how to love and welcome ‘the Stranger,’ who knew how to dream with the rhythm of the planet. I wonder what they would say to us now. Very likely their communications are unique for each of us.
Do you see what I see?
This offering is an opportunity to connect — with intention, curiosity, and relatedness — to our most ancient and loving ancestors as allies, protectors, and wisdom keepers.

While this three week journey will be somewhat uncharted and informed by the group alchemy come prepared to:
Actively tend your dreams throughout the three week period
Explore ancestral communication through creativity, writing and ritual
Engage in guided visualization and meditation practices
Share your voice with the group

To honor this communion with the ‘old ones’ we will commence on the New Moon in Capricorn and meet for three consecutive weeks, as follows:

Meetings will take place on Zoom from 1:30pm to 3:00pm CST | 11:30am - 1:00pm PST
REGISTRATION + COST
Registration is donation based, with $75 being the lowest suggested donation amount and $250 being the full recommended fee. A higher tier is also listed for those who want to pay it forward.

Ophilia is an interdisciplinary artist, ceremonialist, and musician. She is honored to have been initiated into the Dagara lineage of ancestral healing and divination as well as certified in the practice of Embodied Imagination® dreamwork.
